Biljana Srbljanović: RODINNÉ PRÍBEHY

This text is about problems which we can recognize in various families. It is shown by the children who are imitating a behaviour of their parents. The text is very interesting.
The directors decided to adapt the text to the Slovak spectator that is why they scratch out some politic reactions which are typical for Serbian. They focused mainly on various family relationships.
The text is decribing the place of the drama to be an old ugly postcomunistic playground in neighbourhood, so typical for our region. We decided to place it in the modern „playground“, where the children are spending their free time, means the shopping centre. The shopping cenre is the place where the youngsters have everything what they need like cinema, fast food, shops, actions, fun,…
I have tried to create simple and clear stage design using the typical signs which are leading us through this labyrinth of informations, I mean WC, Informations, telephone, exit, stairs, etc.
The costumes are actual. I was working with the colours trying to design very fancy costumes which are typical for children and youngsters right now.
